Robert L. Nelson

Bob has over 30 years of experience as a successful business owner and entrepreneur. After leaving public accounting in 1986 he founded R.L. Nelson and Associates, Inc. (dba Vertical Solutions) as an Accounting Information Systems Consulting firm that specialized in consulting with small and mid-sized companies and not-for-profits to select, implement and support mid-market accounting software systems. In 2007, he transitioned the business to his son Bruce and formed xlBusiness Advisors, a consulting and business coaching practice.

Bob has also presented numerous educational classes and seminars for local Chambers of Commerce, the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs and the continuing education program for attorneys and CPAs at a local college. He has also taught in Duquesne University’s Graduate School of Business. Bob earned his undergraduate degree in Management from Duquesne University, a Masters in Accounting from Duquesne University and a Masters in Information Science from the University of Pittsburgh. He is currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Robert M. Grobstein

Bob has over 25 years of experience in Finance, Accounting and Information Technology. He has held Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Chief Information Officer and Controller positions for various corporate and not-for-profit entities. During his tenure, he was involved in strategic planning, establishing internal controls, audits, financial statements, financial forecasts and budgets and information technology initiatives.  

In addition, Bob was the Florida Regional Manager of an information systems consulting firm.  The firm had three major focuses; back office accounting information systems, custom application development and information technology consulting. Bob earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at Robert Morris University where he majored in Accounting. He is a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Erin Linde

Erin has 20+ years of experience as a business manager, accountant and controller in various industries including privately held and Fortune 500 companies. She has experience in all facets of bookkeeping and accounting including general ledger, financial statement preparation, accounts payable, invoicing and accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, human resources and job costing.  During her career Erin has worked with, implemented and managed various accounting information systems including QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Dynamics GP, Epicor Vantage ERP, Cougar Mountain and Tru Call Accounting.

Erin earned her B.S. from The Pennsylvania State University Smeal College of Business Administration with a focus on marketing and accounting. Over her career she has earned various certifications including MS Dynamics GP Financials and Payroll/HR, Cisco Sales Expert and is currently working on becoming a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor.
